The Puzzle explores how architecture can respond to the sensory, spatial, and social needs of children on the autism spectrum through an environment built around clarity, familiarity, and movement.

The concept emerged from research into learning activities and visual tools commonly used in autism-focused education, where puzzles appeared as a recurring form of engagement. Rather than simply reproducing the puzzle as an image, the project translates its logic into architecture: individual programmatic pieces are given distinct identities and then carefully interlocked to form a coherent whole.

Classrooms, therapeutic spaces, play areas, and shared programs are organized as interconnected pieces, linked by landscape and a continuous cycling track that supports physical activity, coordination, and predictable movement. Controlled lighting, simple geometries, generous proportions, and gradual transitions between spaces further shape a calm and legible environment.

The puzzle therefore becomes more than a metaphor—it becomes the system through which program, movement, landscape, and sensory experience are assembled into a supportive learning environment
